A mutation multiplies a blob's value and income. Every blob from a road or an egg rolls once: the mutations are tried rarest first and the first hit wins, so these are the real odds of getting each one.

Where mutations are likelier

Chance that one blob gets any mutation, Rainbow or Galaxy (normal luck, nothing else running). Events and the Blob Party boost eggs too.

Themed boosts: 3x Frozen from the Frost Egg; 2x Frozen during Blizzard; 3x Molten from the Lava Egg; 3x Shadow during Spooky Night; 3x Galaxy from the Void Egg; 3x Galaxy on the Galaxy Road.

Timed boosts

• 🌌 Galaxy Hour every Sunday at 17:00 UTC: Galaxy x5 on every road and egg, never above 1 in 20 per roll. Galaxy guide.
• ☀️ Mutation of the Day: each day (midnight UTC) one mutation is x2 likelier on every road and egg. Galaxy is never picked (it has Galaxy Hour). Today's is on the home page.
• 👯 Friend boost: be in the same server as a Roblox friend for 5 min and you both get x2 Galaxy on egg hatches for 30 min.

The Mutation Machine

• Next to the Blob Factory. Pick one of your blobs, pay 💎 gems and it rolls a new mutation. A reroll never lands on no mutation.
• You choose: KEEP the old mutation or TAKE the new one. If you don't pick within 60 seconds (or you leave), the better one is kept for you.
• Pity: the 10th reroll of the same kind of blob since its last Diamond-or-better roll is guaranteed Diamond or better.
• Its odds never change: luck, events, Galaxy Hour and the Mutation of the Day don't affect it. Up to 30 rerolls a day. The game shows these odds before you pay; where paid random items aren't allowed, the machine is off.

The cost uses the blob's base value (price × stars); its current mutation doesn't count.

The Mutation Index

Open INDEX → 🧬 in the game: it remembers every blob × mutation you've ever owned (from the road, eggs, steals, trades or rewards). Rewards are paid automatically.

Every blob in Galaxy: the 🌌 Galaxy Brain title. A blob counts as MASTERED with every mutation except Galaxy. Boss-only drops always come without a mutation, so they don't count.
