Steal a Blob Updates

What's new in the game, newest first. A new blob drops every Friday; codes for big updates are on the codes page.

  1. The Mutation Index and the Blob Factory alarm

    • Mutation Index: collect every blob in every mutation (INDEX → 🧬). Milestones give Golden and Cosmic Eggs, gems and 4 new titles.
    • A "NEW MUTATION FOUND" toast the first time you get a blob in a new mutation.
    • The Blob Factory's NOW MAKING screen flashes ⚠ RARE ⚠ with sparkles, beacons and an alarm when a Mythic-or-better blob or a rare mutation spawns.

  2. 9 mutations, a new Blob Factory and 5 badges

    • 5 new mutations: Neon, Frozen, Molten, Shadow and Galaxy. That makes 9.
    • Frozen, Molten and Galaxy are 3x likelier from Frost, Lava and Void Eggs. Shadow is 3x likelier during Spooky Night.
    • The Blob Factory got a full redesign: goo silos, pipes, the BLOB-O-MATIC press and a NOW MAKING screen.
    • The sky islands got proper rocky undersides.
    • RUN is now a toggle that stays on (it pauses while you carry a stolen blob).
    • 5 new badges: Halloween 2026, 7-day streak, World Traveler, First Trade and Met the Dev.
    • FPS counter in Settings, and big performance fixes for PC.
    • A one-tap "How did you find Steal a Blob?" question, with a small cash thank-you.

  3. Blob Bandits, gears, quests and a new trade window

    • Blob Bandits: NPC bases to rob when your server is quiet, with 4 bandit kinds and boss chases.
    • 4 new gears, 8 hidden secrets and a fishing spot.
    • Bigger daily quests with a bonus quest and a free reroll, weekly quests, the Blob Journey and level titles.
    • A Gem Shop tab, more base upgrades, cosmetics and base decorations.
    • Bosses: everyone who helps gets the full reward, plus a results card and phase-2 moves.
    • A new trade window and Lucky Wheel, and Trading Plaza booths you can claim.
    • Play with Friends: join a friend's server in one tap.
    • Controller support.

  5. Hourly events, bounties and the Discord code of the week

    • Golden Hour and Blob Rain: a mini-event in the first 5 minutes of every hour.
    • A weekly Top Thieves leaderboard with rewards.
    • A bounty on the richest player in the server.
    • A new code every Monday in our Discord.
    • A loading screen, boss signature moves and an enraged phase 2.
    • Better odds for the day-7 daily reward, and bonus eggs for long streaks.
    • Lots of phone UI fixes.

  6. Sky islands, Celestial and Galactic blobs, Slap Arena

    • Sky islands with their own roads and more luck, unlocked with rebirths.
    • New rarities: Celestial and Galactic blobs.
    • Sprint, base lasers and a reworked slap.
    • A 1v1 Slap Arena, plus Celestial and Galactic slaps.
    • Bases grow as you upgrade them.
    • Steal streaks.

  7. Worlds, bosses and the weekly Blob Party

    • 4 worlds: Candy Cove, Lava Land, Frost Peaks and Cosmic Rift, each with its own egg, boss and quests.
    • The weekly BLOB PARTY: more luck, mutations and cash for an hour every Saturday.
    • Egg Lucky Meter: the top prize is guaranteed after enough hatches.
    • Blob Pass Season 1: 40 tiers of rewards.
    • The Trading Plaza and a new trade window.
    • Offline earnings, a gear shop and playtime gifts.
